St. George’s, Grenada – September 17, 2025 — In a powerful affirmation of its commitment to efficiency, fiscal responsibility, and strategic governance, the Government of Grenada will co-host the 2025 Conference of Directors of Public Sector Entities on September 23, 2025, at the Grenada Trade Center.

The conference, hosted in partnership with the National Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (NTRC) will be held under the theme “Building High-Performing Public Entities: Directors’ Responsibility for Governance, Strategy and Alignment – Genuine Ownership vs Delegation and Abdication.” The one-day event, first held in 2024, will reconvene this year and feature over 200 directors, commissioners, CEOs, and senior officials from across Grenada’s Statutory Bodies and State-Owned Enterprises. The event is designed to foster strategic dialogue, promote best practices in governance, and align public sector entities with the National Sustainable Development Plan 2035 (NSDP 2035) and Vision 75.

Minister for Finance, Hon. Dennis Cornwall is slated to offer welcome remarks at the conference, alongside Prime Minister Hon. Dickon Mitchell who will articulate the Government’s expectations for public sector boards and reaffirm its unwavering commitment to transparency, accountability, and performance-driven leadership.

“The Government is committed to fiscal prudence and performance excellence, and we need leaders who are ready to own that mission.” said Minister Cornwall. “We are calling on every director to step forward—not as figureheads, but as architects of transformation.” We must continue to ensure that every public entity operates with integrity, efficiency, and alignment to our development goals.”

Mr. Asif Jasat, an internationally recognised expert in corporate strategy, transformation, and governance, will headline the 2025 conference with support from the Macroeconomic Policy Unit at the Ministry of Finance, executives of the newly instituted Grenada Accredited Directors Association (GADA) and industry leaders across the tri-island state.
