The Treasury Department says retroactive salary payments are continuing for eligible public sector workers across several government ministries and departments.

Cabinet Notes said payments have already been made to employees in agencies including the Office of the Prime Minister, the Ministries of Education, Health, Tourism and Works, as well as the Police, Fire Department, Immigration Department, Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force and Passport Office.

Eligible pensioners and former public servants are also included in the payment process.

The Treasury Department said it had hoped to complete most retroactive payments during April 2026 and will provide a further update on 15 May.
