The National Youth Parliament Association of Antigua and Barbuda has congratulated Shaquan O’Neil on his appointment as a Government Senator, describing it as a significant moment for youth representation.
In a statement issued on Friday, the organisation said O’Neil is now the youngest Senator in Antigua and Barbuda’s history.
The association praised his commitment to youth development and public service, saying he has consistently demonstrated leadership and a passion for serving young people across the twin-island nation.
“Shaquan has always shown tremendous talent and a passion to serve the youth, so we know the right choice was made,” the statement said.
The group also expressed confidence that O’Neil would continue to make meaningful contributions in the Senate.
O’Neil was among 10 Government Senators sworn in on Friday during a ceremony at Government House officiated by Governor General Sir Rodney Williams.
